Safe Payment Processing

Automate Security

Innovative payment processing gives merchants effective methods to automate security and retain control.

A merchant can set the number of attempts that can be made before a transaction is flagged for possible fraud. The merchant can investigate further or instruct the payment processing gateway to cancel such transactions.

Blocking

Merchants can block purchases based upon rule sets using the payment processing gateway system. Common parameters used for blocking are the number of times a transaction was attempted, specific IP addresses; email addresses; countries, regions, or cities; email domains and other criteria.

Card ID Verification (CVC/CVV2/CID)

CVC validates whether or not the purchaser is in physical possession of the card by verifying the three or four digit security code on the back of the card.

Address Verification Service (AVS)

AVS compares the billing provided by the purchaser with the billing address on file for the cardholder.

Frequency Checks

It is common for fraudsters to attempt to guess card numbers, expiration dates, passwords and other card holder information. Frequency checking reduces fraud.

IPA Geo Location

Internet Protocol Address (IPA) Geo-Location identifies the physical (geo) location of the buyer and compares it to the IPA location. If the two locations do not match, the payment processing gateway can either reject the transaction or flag it to be investigated further by the merchant.

Duplicate Order Protection

The payment processing gateway knows that duplicate transactions can occur if a customer accidentally submits an order twice. The payment processing software can be configured to automatically cancel the duplicate payment transaction or to flag the transaction for further investigation by the merchant.
